David has held pivotal roles in leading charities in NZ and the UK throughout the last twenty years. Coming originally from a commercial marketing background, he applies a broad base of industry knowledge, applies proven methodologies and consistently produces results.
David has managed Philanthropy for Variety – the children’s charity (NZ) and provided strategic insight for The Antarctic Heritage Trust (NZ) and the Methodist Mission South (NZ). He has lead capital campaigns such as the Culloden Battlefield Project. David headed marketing for Cycling UK (formerly CTC), Individual Giving for The National Trust for Scotland and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers. He also headed supporter care and development of Maggie’s – arguably the UK’s most innovative cancer care organisation. David has experience in events, community and major gifts and corporate fundraising and has proven success in grant applications.
